Passports and Visas

Passports (unofficial)
All foreign nationals travelling to Argentina are required to have a passport valid for at least 6 months, except for citizens of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay who are authorized to travel throughout these five countries and Argentina with their national identity cards.

Visas (unofficial)
All foreign nationals travelling to Argentina require a visa, except for the following:

• Citizens of the European Union and the United States of America if they are planning to stay less than 90 days.
• Citizens of Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Venezuela, can stay for visits of up to 90 days without a visa.
